And the prize goes to…we announce the winners of our Ealing art competition

We’re very pleased and proud to announce the winners of our recent local art competition!

To celebrate the launch of Central Square, we invited children and young people across Ealing to get creative and send us their artwork to illustrate their favourite place in the borough. We’ve received over a hundred, excellent entries from individuals, schools and colleges across Ealing and after careful consideration, our judges have chosen three winners across three age-group categories – no easy task when the standard was so high!

…and the winners are:

  • Lily Law, aged 6 from Southfield Primary School, for her colourful creation that showcases the apple trees in her garden
  • Dale Anderson, aged 8 from Mayfield Primary School, for her clever use of collage in her depiction of Bittern’s Field in Hanwell
  • Anastasia Patellaro, aged 16 from Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls for her beautiful illustration of Ealing Town Hall

Winners in the two primary-age categories will each receive a £25 voucher for Amazon, along with art supplies to the value of £250 for their school, and the winner at secondary level will receive a £50 voucher for Amazon and art supplies to the value of £250 for their school.

We will also be proudly displaying the winning artwork at the sales and marketing suite at Central Square, along with a selection of the other work we’ve received.

David Colley, Regeneration Manager for Ealing Council, says: “We’ve had a fantastic response to the art competition and we’re thrilled so many young people have got involved and showed off their creativity. We’ve received some truly excellent entries which show off not only the skills and imagination of the artists but some of Ealing’s favourite spots – from the Broadway to the bunny park! We’re very proud to be a part of such a strong community and look forward to getting everyone involved in more events and initiatives as development at Copley W7 continues.”

Well done to our winning artists and to everyone who took part!
